Support
A real person reads every message. Usually the one who wrote the app.

Usually answered within a day. Longer on meet weekends, for reasons you will understand.
Two other places worth trying first: Help & Tips is the app's own help, searchable, and the questions people ask before buying are answered on the main page.
Scores
Scores aren't showing for a meet
Scores depend on the meet posting them online. During a live meet the app keeps checking; pull down to refresh, or check back in a few hours. If you can see scores posted online but not in the app, email us with the meet name — that is the case we most want to hear about.
Can't find my gymnast in search
Check the spelling, then try just the first or last name. If they have never competed in a meet that posts scores online, they aren't in the database yet. You can still add them and enter meets by hand.
A score is wrong
The app shows what the meet posted. If the meet corrects it, the app follows within the day. If the meet never does, add the corrected meet by hand and it counts in place of nothing.
Accounts and sync
Do I need one?
Only to sync. Signed out, everything works and lives on that one phone. Sign in and your gymnasts, notes, tags and photos follow you to another device — iPhone, iPad or Android — and survive a new phone.
Why email and password?
No Google or Facebook sign-in and no Sign in with Apple. One credential keeps your address real, which matters when you need a password reset or we need to tell you something about your data.
Forgot your password?
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen. A code arrives by email. Losing a password does not lose your data.
Two parents, one gymnast
Sign in with the same account on both phones. Each phone holds one account; to switch a phone to a different account, delete the account's data from that phone first.
Notifications
- Check that notifications are on in your phone's Settings for Get Chalked, then toggle them off and on inside the app's notification centre.
- A gymnast has to be on your Family or Following list to trigger a notification.
- On iPhone, the Lock Screen live card needs iOS 17.2 or later; on earlier versions you still get the pushes.
Purchase and refunds
- One annual subscription. Everything is included — no tiers, no add-ons.
- iPhone: manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Android: manage or cancel at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
- We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but we can help with the request, and we will never contest one.
- Paid but the app doesn't know it? Settings → Restore Purchase, signed in to the same store account.
- When a subscription lapses, everything you added stays on your device.
Your data
- Followed gymnasts, notes, tags, photos, manual meets and trips are stored on the device. On iPhone they back up to your own iCloud Drive; restore from Settings on a new phone.
- If you sign in, the same things sync to your account so a second device matches. Photos go over Wi-Fi only.
- Delete your account from inside the app, or at getchalked.net/delete-account if you no longer have it. It genuinely deletes, and we cannot get it back afterwards. Uninstalling, or Clear Data in Settings, removes everything on that device.
- We never pool what you add with another family's, and never sell it. The Privacy Policy spells out what is stored and where.
App running slowly
Close and reopen it. If it persists, Settings → Clear Cache. That clears downloaded scores, not your gymnasts or anything you added.
Reporting a problem
What helps most, in one message:
- What you were doing and what happened instead
- Your phone model and OS version
- The gymnast or meet it concerns, by name
- A screenshot, if you saw an error
